One on one moment
"We have a lot of fire and pride that we like to share."
Story and photos by Dwight Drum A possible star on a rise speaks up as he goes up and proves he can communicate as well as drive. Kyle Busch has been waiting more on the calendar for his chance to drive in the NASCAR Busch Series than on his developing skills. Busch is now 18, the minimum age limit in NASCAR, and shows driving and speaking skills that belie his age. Hendrick Motorsports has given him a seat in the No. 5 Lowes Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Busch appears destined to follow his brother Kurt Busch through the professional ranks of stock car racing. Dwight asked Kyle Busch: "We have a lot of fire and pride that we like to share. It's definitely a lot of fun to come out here every weekend and race with everybody else." "I like the speed, of course, the team members and all the guys that are behind me. They are a great group of guys and I appreciate all the help they give me. These guys work non-stop busting their butt and work Saturdays till midnight. It's hectic around the shop." "I've had great English teachers in Las Vegas, but I guess it's also family influence. I grew up with a lot of family help." |
