Martin Truex Jr. has co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. for a boss and teammate in their Chance 2 Motorsports Busch team, and the double junior hook-up could be a strong connection to the future. This interview took place before Martin Truex Jr won NASCAR Busch Series races in Bristol and Talladega. Truex Jr believed he could go out and win races and championships. He's off to a great start and he could be a bigger part of great finishes.
Dwight asked Martin Truex Jr.:
Can you describe your drive, the fire within you at this point?
"It's about as big as it can get. We're coming off two second place finishes at the end of last year. We've got some great new sponsors. I've got a great teammate here in Dale Earnhardt Jr. as well as my owner. I've got a lot of great things to look forward to this year and I think we can go out and win races and win championships. Everybody better look out, because we're coming."
What do you like best about your job so far?
"The same reason I do this, I love to race."
