Motorsports Champions <<<<<>>>>> High Achievers

Three years ago…

Before Zoomster was a working dot com, I used the word for one of my articles, then decided to put it to an Internet test. Moments later I owned Zoomster.com. If I had to pay for it, I decided I better use it if I was to get a bang for my buck. Shortly thereafter, I devised the Zoomster Awards to honor the winners and high achievers in motorsports.

I called Gary Larsen explaining the Zoomster concept, and he was confused. "I've never heard of it," Gary said. "Of course, you've never heard of it," I said. "I just bought it!" Then I mentioned that at one point in history in the 1890's nobody had ever heard of a Coca-Cola beverage. And not long ago 'yahoo' was only a vocal expression of glee.

At the time Gary tempered his misgivings with… "Well, it sounds better than "GRAMMY" or "EMMY". And so the Zoomster Credo was born…even before Zoomster.com was our Web site.

Zoomster Awards (© 1999-2001 Dwight Drum) are presented to individuals who possess the skills and cleverness to win a championship or promote motorsports. A Zoomster is defined as a smart and speedy racer…a high achiever…a professional contributor who wins by swiftness and cleverness, or achieves with high spirits. He or she is a cut above in abilities and accomplishments. Racing is a high-tech, high-human effort to slice seconds from speed. When these gifted humans drive, ride, tune, thrash, or promote better than anyone else, we believe they become ZOOMSTERS.
